Origin Story

In 2007 Shawn Harrison set out on a mission to build a family legacy based on serving the Eastern Shore community that helped shape the family man he is today.  Shawn formed Real HVAC Services that year with the goal of providing fast and affordable service that is just done right, the first time. Our community responded and made Real HVAC Services a fixture in DELMARVA home and business services.  While serving the community has long been a passion for Shawn, nothing is more important to him than his loving family! 

Shawn and his wife Laura were married more than 30 years ago and they have three amazing boys and one dedicated daughter together (technically a daughter-in-law, but don’t tell her that!).  The Harrison family continues to grow with the addition of an adorable granddaughter!

Shawn Harrison has built Real HVAC Services into the leader for HVAC and plumbing solutions. His strong team of industry professionals treat each and every customer like family. For any and all of your HVAC and plumbing needs in the Salisbury, MD area, give Real HVAC Services a call! 

Real HVAC was started by Shawn Harrison in 2007.  In 2012 Real HVAC moved to its present location of 700 Eastern Shore Drive.  In 2020 Real HVAC opened a branch location in Ocean View DE.  Real has always prioritized fast effective service to its customers on the Eastern Shore of MD and DE.  

Shawn Harrison received his Business Degree from Frostburg State University in 1993.  Followed shortly by his degree from Delaware Technical College in HVAC, Shawn successfully completed the requirements for Master HVAC and Master Plumbing in MD, DE, VA and NC. Also, a master in Gas Piping, Shawn applied his knowledge to grow the company to over 45 employees over the last 17 years.  

Will Harrison, Shawn and Laura’s oldest son, joined the Real HVAC team in 2019.  Jacob, the middle son, joined the family business in 2023.  Mathew, the youngest of the Harrison boys, officially joined the team this year while also completing his education at East Carolina University.  All three sons have received their professional licenses and work to grow their knowledge and leadership skills every day. Kayla Harrison, Will’s wife, is also a long-standing member of the Real Team working to connect Real HVAC Services with our community through school outreach programs, business groups and social media content creation, her work is critical to keeping the Real HVAC Services team focused on our goal to serve our community

Shawn enjoys helping the community and has strong ties with the Christian Shelter and Falcon Youth Sports.  Shawn and the family dedicate their time as community volunteers and active members of the DELMARVA business community.  In the few moments of free time the family leaves open for themselves, you will most likely find them enjoying our amazing local beaches, catching a Giants game or looking for the next great concert!
